This weekend Juve face Catania in Sicily, for the hosts they are fighting for their survival, with 10 games left they need to start a winning run to give themselves a chance, but they’ll have to wait till the next game to do so. Juventus would want to close in winning the Scudetto race, as Roma are hosted by Chievo and that should not be any trouble three points for the Giallorossi who in turn need to win as to stay ahead of Napoli who in turn have a very difficult game with fourth place Fiorentina.
One other reason Juve need to win this game as to try to use their best player for the Europa Cup against Lyon, even though Lyon are struggling in their league that means little when it comes to cup games, Juve need to go there and get a result as so to make return leg easier.
The hosts Catania have only managed four win in 13 home games their last home win was against Lazio 3-1 and have drawn 6, in spite of only scoring 14 times at home they only conceded 15, the host in their back yard are hard to score against, Catania’s downfall is their away record as out of the 15 games they have managed just 2 draws all season, their top scorers are Barrientos and Bergessio both players on 4 each that tells you a story by itself , both teams have a number of players out, Juve will also have to do without Pogba’s services he has to set this one out.
Juve to pour on more misery on the hosts with a 3-0 win.
Saturday night’s game Chievo host Roma you really have to fancy Roma in this one to take all three points 3-1, the earlier Saturday game Torino hosts Livorno, with Livorno having two players setting this one out and Cerci in good from for the hosts there can only be one result 2-1 for the hosts.
Sunday lunch time game we see Parma host Genoa, Parma are knocking on the door of European football whiles Genoa are midtable and honestly just playing out the season, on current from Parma to win this 2-0 to keep up the pressure.
The big day game Napoli host Fiorentina, both want to end on the high note, Napoli come off a nasty taste in their mouth after being knocked out of the Europa league by Porto, both teams have a number of players out, on any other day I would make the hosts clear favourite to win but after having played on Thursday night this game might be one to far so I call this a draw 1-1. The other team who is playing for their European spot is Inter who host Atalanta one can only hope for a miracle but if we are real about football this is a home win 2-1, but the most pressured game not for any position in the league but for their coaches it’s Lazio v Milan both coaches are told their future is in the balance both coaches have to get things right very soon or they will both be looking for another club, out of the two Milan are up against it as they have three key players out, this is not what they wanted, and on this note and this note alone I predict a home win 2-1.
Bologna Cagliari is a huge game at the other end of the table, the host want to win as so they can claw back the team above them whiles Cagliari want to win as to keep them away from the chasing pack boring 1-1 draw here, the last game Udinese host Sassuolo there is very little to say in this game as the guests not only have six players out but their talisman is out on suspension Berardi has to sit this one out, Udinese to pile on misery on misery 4-0 easy win on this one.
Manchester United face a summer transfer battle if they want to land high-flying target Arda Turan, as Juventus have now joined them in his pursuit.
According to reports in the Italian press, the Seria A giants are keen on the idea of bringing Turan to Turin as they’ve cooled their interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Jeremy Menez. The Turkish international has been a key part of Diego Simeone’s Atletico side this campaign, and is wanted by David Moyes as he plots an end of season revamp of his flagging United squad. It’s thought clubs interested in the winger will have to match his release clause if they want to prise him away from Spain; a fee that is rumoured to stand at €40million, or £33million. Even then Simeone is unlikely to want to let him leave, and it will probably take a good deal of negotiation to convince Turan that his future lies away from the Vicente Calderon. With United looking unlikely to be in the Champions League next season Moyes may have to offer the 27-year-old a luxurious salary in order to pip Juve, who are comfortable favourites to retain their Italian title. Turan has played 31 times for Atletico this year, scoring seven goals.
