Hi! Sorry for not visiting for ages but one reason is that I lost all my passwords and emails earlier this year.
Anyway, an update on the book I’m writing (if you remember?).
I’m researching John’s first season at Juventus (and his wife’s experiences in Turin too) and it is all moving quite smoothly. In fact, I’m delighted to advise that I’m visiting Turin in early August and hope to pick a few more things up. I have been disappointed by the complete lack of reply from the club/museum though, sorry to criticise!
In case I have another disaster with my computer, my email is robert@endeacott.com … please don’t let me wander off again 🙂
Hello everyone, just a quick note to say that my John Charles novel is close to being started. I had a fantastic week in Turin recently and gathered a lot of decent information for my research. I’m pleased to say that Juventus FC were brilliant in their dealings with me, and I was privileged to visit the museum and have a stadium tour. I also travelled to Bergamo to meet Umberto Colombo who was a fine player alongside John and is still a very pleasant man. His English is much better tahn my Italian 😀
Thanks also to Tony R on this site for being a great help and friend.
If anyone can help me with respect to information about Juventus’ training ground and the actual stadium in 1957, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – robert.endeacott@btinternet.com . Always a pleasure to hear from Juve/JC fans anyway 🙂 Thanks.
