Juventus turn the table on Napoli as after the defeat in the last game beaten on the spot kicks, this time where the game counted most Juve put three into the net.
Also the fact that the Bianconeri had no support as the away fans were locked out makes this victory sweeter, goals from Pogba, Caceres and Vidal (finally), this win takes Juventus three clear at the top as Roma had earlier drawn their game against Lazio 2-2 and that was after going to goals down, in third place move Lazio whiles this defeat drops Napoli into fourth place joined by Sampdoria who beat Empoli 1-0, whiles at the other end its getting more and more difficult for both Cesena who lost at Cagliari 2-1 and Parma who also lost away to Verona 3-1 both teams are six points from Cagliari who are only two points away from Atalanta who drew 1-1 against Chievo, on another note Juve’s player out on part ownership Zaza does it again as he score in the 1-1 draw against Udinese, the highest scoring game came from Firenze as Fiorentina scored 4 against the 3 from Palermo good for the neutrals but not for the fans.
Juve took the lead in the first half with a great volley across the goal from Pogba as the ball was not cleared very well, the volley was partially saved by the keeper but it was so fierce nothing could be done 1-0, half time, in the second half a corner not very well met and a good volley by Britos low down Buffon’s right side and its 1-1 (not again please not two more points dropped), but five minutes later a very well taken free-kick by Pirlo was not cleared and Caceres missed kicked it but who cares its 2-1 Juve, kicked the ball into the ground and loped the keeper, as Napoli looked to score time was running out for the hosts late in the 94th minute a counter attack by the Bianconeri Morata on the left side a very well weighted pass to Vidal who turned the defender and placed the ball on the keeper left top right-side to make 3-1. A goal that can only give Vidal that confidence back that was missing since his return from injury.
Next game Juve host Verona whiles Palermo hosts Roma third place Lazio are at home against fourth place Napoli, another win from Juve will make sure that they pick part one of the scudetto. This one has little influence but it’s a good booster for any team as they lead the race to the end.
Juve’s champions league opponents did not play this week as they are having a long rest after Christmas, Dortmund will not play till the 31st of January they will be away to Leverkusen.
