Lazio Roma are flying well as the best in-form side in Serie A having won their last 5 Serie A games and finding themselves looking to overtake Roma very soon, with their being only a single point behind now. Their defence is clearly working having only conceded 1 goal in those last 5. de Vrij is good. I know that he signed for Lazio Roma in the summer, but he could be a future Juve player.
14.5 point lead if you consider the head to head over Roma. We’ve only lost once all season, to lose the scudetto now, we’d have to lose half our remaining fixtures. I think it’s in the bag.
I’ll be fair, when we appointed Allegri, I predicted a fourth place finish. I’m thrilled I was wrong. To be considered a successful season, I wanted 3 things: 1)new contract for Lichtsteiner. Done. 2)win league. Done. 3)at least quarter-final of champions league. We’ll see Wednesday.
Ah yes the head to head is in our favour so an extra advantage there also. I think we will have retained the title and won a historic consecutive Scudetto for the 4th time in a row in as few as maybe 4 or 5 games.. we know that we did 4 in a row in the early 1930’s.. Torino’s 1940’s team won 5 in a row (maybe that would have been 6 if one of the seasons wasn’t cancelled because of some stupid war).. inter won but obviously were handed some and semi officially have 5 in a row..
