This weekend we see the clash of titans, the derby of Italy Juve hosts Inter whiles title challengers travel to Florence to face Fiorentina.
We start with the derby of Italy, inter travel to the Comunale in hope to halt Juve’s progress to another title. Juve will have to do without Marchisio whiles Inter are without Brozovic disqualified apart from that both teams are at full strength. A win for the guests would keep them in touch of a Champions League spot, whiles a win for the hosts to stay ahead. Both clubs have a long history, the last encounter in Seria A in Torino ended all square 1-1 goal from Tevez in the first half reply from Icardi in the second half, the season before Juve beat Inter 3-1 goals from Lichtsteiner, Chiellini and Vidal a late reply from Ronaldo.
Napoli can sit back and watch the Bianconeri result on Sunday night as they will not be playing their top off the league clash with Fiorentina until Monday night. Now both teams have had bad results in Europa league, the hosts losing to Tottenham 3-1 and the guests drawing against Villarreal 1-1 at home. Napoli since their defeat against Juve have failed to win a game draw against Milan, they have slightly derailed themselves a little hope for even more. Both teams would want to win this game for different reasons one to stay in with a chance for the Scudetto whiles the other to stay in the race for that champions league place.
But the weekend night for that Champions league place opens with Roma traveling to Empoli a win here and it will put Fiorentina under real pressure Roma are in good form as they have won their last five games whiles Empoli are going through a purple patch, in the later Saturday night’s game Milan hosts Torino, Milan will be looking for a win to stay with the hope of that Europa League position and an outside chance of getting a third place.
Sunday opens with Palermo v Bologna, the hosts need to win this or risk the drop as they are only three points away. Then the best games Sampdoria hosts Frosinone a really must win game for either club you could call this one a six pointer, the hosts hold a 2 points over the guests so the maths is easy to see where it could go. The other game is Udinese v Verona, again a big survival game here Udinese wins they move clear from the bottom a Verona win might not be enough to keep them in the top flight but could put the hosts in that danger zone.
All other games just make up the numbers as they are just playing for positions in the league.
Juve Champions league opponents take on Wolfsburg at their ground this weekend.
