With Scudetto in pocket Juve still do not lose as they see off lack luster Carpi 2-0 goals from Hernanes and Zaza, the game was a rather scrappy affair by Juve, on read reports it offered little off excitement apart from the two goals, so I won’t right much on it.
Tonight the second place teams played out their games first on was Genoa v Roma the guests won this one 3-2 after been 1-0 then 2-1 so move into second which lasted a short while as Napoli hosted Atalanta and took a first half lead to regain second spot Higuaín scores a brace to keep the three points home with a 2-1.
This weekend saw some really strange results, first we start second from bottom Frosinone (31) who went to Milan and actually took a two goal lead only to finish all square 3-3, we know what happen to Carpi (35), but as for Palermo (35) move out of the bottom three as they hosted Sampdoria and kept all three points with a 2-0 win, Udinese(38) have lost their third game in a row as they hosted Torino and lost by 5-1 thus leaving them only 3 points of the drop zone.
We return to the second and third place play off .two games six points Napoli next two games are away to Torino then home to Frosinone, whiles Roma home to Chievo then away to Milan, on paper Napoli should hold that second place easily but that would not be football then would it.
Whiles at the other end Carpi (25) home to Lazio then followed away to Udinese, Palermo (25) away to Fiorentina then home to Verona, Udinese (38) away to Atalanta followed by a home game v Carpi this last game could really be a decider for survival as the season could be played out here, Carpi hold the upper hand as they met earlier in the season and Carpi won 2-1.
The tilttle is over but football is not as there are scores still to settle big time.
Is anyone going to see Juve in London on 7 August? I’m thinking of going.
