Last summer, we made bids/enquiries for Tevez, Dzeko, Aguero and Rossi before being stuck with Vucinic. Each time we were a few million short of an agreement. This summer we have been linked with Higuain, Van Persie, Dzeko, Cavani, Llorente and Jovetic and each time we have been a few million short of an agreement. With the window closing in two weeks, I wish the board would realise to get a marquee player, you have to pay marquee euros. Afterall, Madrid have already made a profit on Christiano Ronaldo with shirt sales and prize money. Come on Juve, put us back at the head of Europe and stop trying to do it on the cheap.
Exactly the same is happening again.I’m getting sick of this. We’re going to miss out on Higuain, Tevez, Jovetic all because other clubs appreciate that these players cost money.
I was thinking exactly the same thing; the Italian press this morning seemed to suggest Higuian is nearer to Arsenal than us, so something better happen soon otherwise it’ll be re-signing Bendnter on the last day of the transfer window.
I hear that Beppe Marotta could be fired if he doesn’t pull his finger out. At least others in the hierarchy have noticed the ennui.
